About 56 Dean Street
Our community needs you. 56 Dean Street has a deep understanding of factors around LGBTQI+ lifestyle, psycho-sexual issues, the impact of wider society, discrimination and drug taking. This makes our approach truly unique.
Our dedicated, tenacious team goes above and beyond, delivering far more than what is ‘required’ to treat patients each day – particularly in helping the most vulnerable in our community. Over the last 10 years we’ve continually reinvented ourselves to drive HIV infection rates down. Diagnoses at the clinic have fallen by over 80% from their peak in 2015.
Whilst PrEP has been a game-changer in reducing HIV amongst certain groups, our big challenge today is educating those coming of age. We need to make sure young gay and bisexual men know about the risks involved in gay sex. It appears that HIV transmission is not going down in those under 25, with late teens being the most at risk.
If you are able, please consider supporting our work with a donation via our JustGiving page. With your help, we can continue to reach those most at risk, whose support options elsewhere may be limited.
